Porcelain Picks MLB | Bankroll Build Day 6 - Tuesday, August 18th

Tuesday, August 18, 2026

HR-heavy card today. Two spots setting up multiple angles: Wrigley's brutal HR conditions with Fedde on the mound, and a couple of standalone plus-money HR plays at hitter-friendly parks.

Owen Caissie 1+ HR (+575)

$20 to win $115.

Matchup is fine, not elite. Phillips vs LHB 2026 gives up a 17.9% K rate and 11.1% HR/FB with a .338 wOBA. Nothing that jumps off the page.

The real driver here is the environment. Citizens Bank Park has a 132 HR factor for LHB, and tonight's conditions are producing a +16% boost to HRs (3.0 HR/gm expected vs 2.6 park avg). Weather is 85°F with 5mph winds. That's the profile you want backing a longshot bat like Caissie, who has 20.0% HR/FB (elite power) even though his 36% K rate limits his floor.

At +575 you're getting paid for the boom-or-bust profile in a spot where the boom is more likely than usual.

Matt Olson 1+ HR (+300)

$20 to win $60.

Olson's profile against RHP is elite: .651 SLG, .442 wOBA, 27.8% HR/FB, 13.7% BB. He's the single best HR bat on the entire card by underlying profile.

Zebby Matthews has been vulnerable to LHB in 2026: 22.1% K, 9.4% BB, .358 wOBA, 1.7 HR/9, 16.1% HR/FB. Overcast weather at Target Field is producing a +19% HR boost tonight. Getting 3-to-1 on Olson in this matchup with the weather playing hitter-friendly is a fair price.

CWS @ CHC — The Wrigley Stack

The featured spot on the card. Wrigley is a monster tonight: +41% HR boost, 10mph wind blowing WSW (out to right-center), 78°F with a 69° dew point. 3.3 HR/gm expected in these conditions vs the 2.4 park average.

Erick Fedde is the profile you attack in this spot. He's giving up an ugly .373 wOBA to RHB with 2.8 HR/9 and 22.2% HR/FB. To LHB the K rate is lower (15.9%) but the BB rate is high (10.5%). Nobody in either lineup should be safe from getting hit hard tonight.

Munetaka Murakami 1+ HR (+275)

$20 to win $55.

The top play in the Wrigley stack. Murakami has been mashing: .609 SLG, .417 wOBA, 36.2% HR/FB (best on the board), 17.5% BB rate. Fedde's LHB splits aren't as bad as his RHB, but the wind + weather + Murakami's raw power profile make +275 a real value.

Andrew Benintendi 1+ HR (+500)

$20 to win $100.

Lefty bat batting cleanup with .459 SLG and 12.9% HR/FB. Not the ceiling of Murakami but the price is real and he's another lefty pull hitter against Fedde in a park where the wind is blowing out.

Miguel Vargas 1+ HR (+350)

$20 to win $70.

Best profile against Fedde's WORSE side. Fedde vs RHB is where the numbers get ugly: 2.8 HR/9, 22.2% HR/FB, .373 wOBA. Vargas has 11.6% HR/FB and a .337 wOBA vs RHP. In the middle of the White Sox order, he gets the exploitable side of Fedde's split.

Colson Montgomery 1+ HR (+400)

$20 to win $80.

18.0% HR/FB, .410 SLG, 35% K rate. Boom-or-bust profile similar to Caissie. High K rate but the power ceiling is real, and Wrigley in these conditions turns his profile into a real HR threat.

CWS Team Over 1.5 HRs (+155)

$200 to win $310. The size play on the day.

This is the direct expression of the Wrigley thesis. Fedde is giving up 2.8 HR/9 to RHBs and 0.9 HR/9 to LHBs, but the wind is blowing out and the temp/humidity are producing 3.3 HR/gm at this park. The White Sox lineup has Murakami (36.2% HR/FB), Montgomery (18.0%), Benintendi (12.9%), and Vargas (11.6%) all with real HR profiles.

If any two of those bats get to Fedde with the wind blowing out, this cashes. Given the +41% park HR boost tonight, the base rate for 2+ team HRs at this park is significantly higher than a neutral game. +155 (implied 39.2%) feels light for the setup.
